Black Beast Mod - New Shoes

In less then one year of ownership I already used up all my Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyre treads! I only put on less then 20,000km and my Jeep SRT is already asking new shoes.  I chose Yokohama Parada Spec-X this time instead of going back to OEM Pirelli tyres.  These 4 pieces cost me BND$1500.00 compared to BND$700.00 a pop for the Pirelli.  The tyre size chosen is identical to OEM which is 295/45R20 and TyrePro took the privilege to help me installed, aligned and balanced out the wheels.

Black Beast Mod - Installation of INJEN Cold Air Intake

Finally took some courage to have this installed into the JEEP SRT last weekend. INJEN is a American company that specialise in air intake system.  I bought this from an online shop a few months ago and it has been sitting in my storeroom ever since.  It was an easy task that took me about 40minutes to install.  Everything is a straight fit so no big drama. There are a few components that came with the kit (as you can see in the below picture).  There were two types to choose for this kit, a chrome kit or matt black kit.  I chose the black kit because I wanted a stealthy engine bay looks.

Before the installation

Removing the stock air box

Installation of the INJEN plate seperator

Fitting of the air intake system

Gloss black silicone hose with INJEN logo imprinted

A few more adjustment....

....and the installation Completed!

My Two Shades of Yellow

Was moving my two cars to rearrange my garage parking and took a few quick shots while my rides are parked together.  The Porsche color is called Speed Yellow whereas the Nissan Skyline shade is called the Lighting Yellow.  As you can see Porsche has a more darker shade and Nissan has a brighter and lighter yellow shade.

Mercedes Benz AMG G63 Spotted

American Muscle vs German Muscle!

Spotted a beast recently when I was shopping at HuaHo Manggis Mall.  This is the first time I encountered a G-Wagon up close. It is not any ordinary G-Wagon, this is the AMG G63!  Its has 540hp from a twin-turbo 6.3 V8 German muscle engine built by AMG! Never realise G-wagon can look so good in white too!  If my knowledge is correct, this is the update 2012 G-wagon because of the LED up the front bumper.  The car has a tall, long but narrow body.  The AMG wheels covered up the stance perfectly.

The coolest feature of this car is the side exhaust!

The New Porsche Macan Has Landed In Brunei!

Yeap it is here already!  I know a lot of  people will ask the obvious question, "How much is it?".  Well there are 3 specifications,  BND$98K for Macan, BND$140K for Macan S and BND$180k for Macan Turbo.  These are estimates standard car prices without options!

I had seen some minor spec-up Macan going from BND108K to 118K.  This particular white example in the showroom is a Macan S and cost a whooping $180k fully spec up!!!  Yes you are looking at a base Cayenne price here!  This car is such a beaut!  I felt in love wit the shape when my friend pull off the cover.  The car scream Porsche DNA instantly!

Sorry for the grainy pictures because I am using my old Note 1 for these photos.  Enjoy!

Brunei Map Not GPS

Last month I drove down to Miri, Sarawak with my Jeep for a family weekend trip.  As you know, my car does come with a GPS but only problem is it doesn't has a Brunei map content.  Yes is a very funny joke from Jeep/Chrysler Group.  I hope Jeep/Chrysler will have this problem sort out soon, even with the latest software update recently the map of Brunei is still not shown.

As you can see from below,  that is the map of Miri from the Jeep GPS.  How is it our neighbouring city has their own map and we do not!

I can also check on all sort of GPS information as shown below

While on our way back near the Brunei border I took a quick picture of the Jeep GPS. The yellow patch is Brunei and you can see where the Miri map ends.

Jeep/Chrysler group if you are reading this please get the new patch or update to have Brunei map included!!!!

Porsche 911 Turbo (964) Flat Nose - Update*

Remember last year I posted a rare Porsche 911 (930) Flat Nose?  Today I came across yet another Flat Nose variant!  This is the Porsche 911 Turbo from the 964 model, yeap the same model from Hollywood Blockbuster "Bad Boys" movie driven by Will Smith that do not have a cup holder!  What intrigue me is this particular black 964 belong to the same 930 Flat Nose owner!  And the most shocking part these cars belong to my friend! Truly took me by surprise! I was told these two rides were auctioned off from the Amedeo car yard sales a few years ago.

UPDATED* - Just found out this one if one of 76 Porsche Exclusive with optioned "Slant Nose" or flat nose.  It cost about USD$60,000 for this option on top of the car price of USD$90,000 back in the days.  Damn, the whole car costs about USD$150,000!!! Of the 76 total produced, 39 were allocated to USA, 10 to Japan and the remainig 27 to the rest of the world!!!

"Whale" tail!

Wood grain steering wheel is not my kind of taste but I won't complaint if I ever get my hands on one of these rare beauty! Although I like the red interior contrasting the black dash and door trims!

The modern Porsche 911 Turbo (997.2), one of my favorite!
