Car Spotting In Brunei - Mitsubishi EVO VIII

Here is a prestine Mitsubishi EVO VIII fitted with genuine Veilside VS-GT kit.  This car has been in hibernation for quite sometime and I am quite surprise to see it in the workshop.  This car was last tuned by Ohura back in the late 2010s.  I am not sure what it is doing in the workshop but seem like a lot of work is going into the engine.  Hopefully is a big upgrade!  Oh by the way, that is a matt paint job, not a WRAP! 

Tuning day at SHH Proshop by Seed Racing Japan

Seed Racing Japan is currently in Brunei for tuning session supported by SHHProshop.  They will be here from 3rd Oct to 17th Oct.  The tuner, Mr Hide Koh had been to Brunei multiple times since 2013.  And here are some of the beautiful rides from Brunei and our neighbouring country.

Car Spotting In Brunei - Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34

This is a very very very old picture taken in July 2004.  You can see my yellow car and a very very handsome blue Nissan Skyline R34.  This is the GT-R I was talking about, the one and only imported R34 GT-R to ever imported in Brunei even till today.   The remaining GT-R in Brunei is either a Malaysia neighbouring car or Skyline with fake GT-R badge.  

This car is fitted with genuine aero- kit from Veilside, its called the VS-GT and this one also has the option carbon fibre Veilside spoiler.  This car has since changed a few hands and the aero-kit had been sold and retro fitted to a Nissan Stagea Autech.

This car has lots of stories behind it.  It was once a full blown drag car competing in Miri Drag Race. It was then up for sell at a used-car dealer for a mere BND70K.  I really regret not buying that car when it was available.  One main reason is because the engine still require fixing so that put me off. This particular car is currently recsiding in K.B and has changed to grey color.  It's quite sad we don't get to see this car in its old glory form....

Here we have the one and only AUDI R8 Gen.2 in Brunei. What a way for bragging rights! This car was spotted in The Empire Hotel by one of our avid reader.  He practically took car spotting to a whole new level by sending me every angles of this beautiful blue car.

Car Spotting In Brunei - Toyota Celica GT-4 (ST205)

Back in the 90s, Japan produced one of the best performance cars out there.  Now, I have no idea what is going on with that market.  The European cars are kicking there ass pretty badly in that sector.  Hopefully, the new Toyota Supra coming out in 2018 won't be a disappointment.

This particular fine Toyota Celica GT-4 belongs to a friend of mine and he has it for almost a decade or so.  The car is a turbo-charged 2.0litre (3S-GTE), 255hp rally machine. During the early 1990s, this car competed with Subaru WRX and Mitsubishi Evolution in the World Rally Championships.  I was lucky enough to witness those rally machine back in Perth, Western Australia in 1995.  In order to race in the WRC, 2500units of Celica GT-4 need to be homologated by Toyota.  So you are looking at 1 of 2500 in the whole world.  If I remember there are about 5 units in Brunei.  Not sure what happen to the other units.

I was at SHHProshop checking on my Mercedes Benz E240 and then I came across this mint white EVO V.  Of all the Evolution generations that had been produced from 1992 to 2016, my favorites would be III, V and VI.  This one is awaiting tuning by Seed Racing.

I spotted this beautiful grey Audi TT Gen III at Kiulap area last week. I think this is the Audi popular Nano Grey or it can be the Monsoon grey.  Any how AUDI TT sure has slick body line.  Hopefully someone got big wallet and import the Audi TT-RS to Brunei!

I spotted this cool looking 964 while on way home to Bandar.  This particular one is kinda unique because the badge actually said "RUF".  In case u did't know RUF is a German tuners that specialise in Porsche.  If you look closely at the wheels of this car it has aftermarket RUF wheels.  I wasn't sure if that spoiler is another RUF item and a quick search online and I can confirmed that big wing is also from RUF.  What a rare car to spot!  I wonder whats under the hood!?
