A Visit To Citroen DS Showroom Pt.2

HI!  Sorry for not posting the last 2 weeks as I was in Perth, Western Australia having my 2 weeks holiday break!  

I thought this post was scheduled for posting last week and didn't realised I forgot to schedule it!  Anyway, while I checking on the Citroen C5 Aircross, I noticed a very bright red car sitting at the back of the showroom.  The Sales rep pointed out that particular car sitting at the back are the DS models.  DS is the luxury arm of Citroen.  The red one caught my interest as it is similar priced as the CITROEN C5 AirCross.  This beautiful red car here is called the DS7 Crossback.  DS7 and C5 uses the same chassis or platform so they are basically the same car with different skin and interior! 

This red DS7 Crossback is the standard model and the price has dropped from BND$48k to BND$39k.  There is a top spec version called the DS7 Crossback Opera, and that will set you BND$51k.  A price discount for Hari Raya promo from BND59k.

The top spec is the one I am interested in as it has all the bells & whistles.  It has over the standard version a Panaromic roof, 360 camera, Night vision, full leather seats, Focal sound system, massage front seats and best of them all is the B.R.M clock!

A Visit To CITROEN DS Showroom Pt.1

A few weeks ago I was window shopping at Times Square.  Little did I know there was a Citroen DS road show going on there.  I was caught by a very red/orange car on the show floor.  It was this latest Citroen C5 Aircross that was recently launched in Europe back in March!  I was surprised it reached Brunei so soon!

The car is really attractive in my opinion.  I didn't take much time checking it out  as I was with my family.  So I took a quick visit to the Citroen DS showroom at Beribi recently so I can take a closer look at the car.  First thing I asked the friendly salesman was how much it cost OTR.  This car is currently on Raya Promo and you can driveaway for BND$39k+++!  

That is really a great deal!  I am having a serious thought about this car and as many of you know I am currently putting my MINI Countryman S up for sale!

The car has a 1.6turbo (180hp) engine mated to a 6 speed auto transmission.  It is a 2WD model only though and can seat 5 full adults with ease.  Surprising the back seats is big enough to fit me!  I am 6" feet tall and I still have tons of headroom and knee space.  The car came with full LCD instrument cluster and second LCD center console screen.  And it has APPLE Carplay and Andriod Auto too. Interior has a very European design cue and those who loves the new BMW and Mercedes Benz current design will fall in love with the C5 Aircross.

New Car In Brunei - Alfa Romeo Dealership

Guys the new ALFA ROMEO dealership is coming to Brunei! New Car In Brunei - Mercedes Benz CLS Gen.3(C257)

What a beautiful car this is!  Just yesterday Jati Transport launched their latest MY2019 CLS.  The Marketing Manager of Jati Transport, Daniel actually gave me a heads-up about the launch a few weeks prior to the actual launch date.  I am glad I came to see this beauty.  Again, Mercedes Benz new design language is growing more and more on me.  This red CLS350 example here is called Cardinal Red Metallic by designo and it will cost you just BND$120K++.  Yes you didn't read it wrong,  the price has dropped from BND$155K++ as compared to Gen.2 CLS350.  The new CLS450 will set you BND$155K++ thou..

The car now also goes from 4 seaters to 5 seaters!  Four seaters is not really popular in Asian market especially on a big sedan.  With the additional seat I am pretty sure it will open up the market for people looking at the new E-Class or BMW 5-Series.

The car at BND$122K is very much loaded with all the options from the catalogue.  My favorite would be the full BURMEISTER sound system!  The car is fitted with full LED technology from the front to the rear lamps.  Engine power is rated around 290hp from Mercedes Benz latest straight 6 engine configuration and coupled with additional power provided by the EQ boost technology similar to those found in Mercedes Benz F1 car.

New Car In Brunei - Mercedes Benz A-Class (W177)

I was at Jati Transport Autohaus yesterday for the launching of the latest Mercedes Benz CLS350 & CLS450.  Before we get into that lets talk about the latest A-Class that was launched a few weeks ago.  This red example is the latest 2019 A-Class A200.  It is a looker.  I love the new design language from Mercedes Benz, especially on the front.  Its sharper and meaner.  As for the rear, it will be up to individual taste.  I can be honest it looks like a KIA Cerato from the back.  Regardless of how I think, once you step inside the interior all the negative remark will disappear as the front dash will greet you with two large LCD coupled with the latest UI from Mercedes Benz called MBUX.  The dual LCD is one of its kind in the market.  The car will cost you around BND$50K+++(Please check Jati Transport for their latest pricing).

New Car In Brunei - Suzuki Jimny (Gen.4)

The most anticipated mini 4WD of 2018 has landed in Brunei.  This is the latest generation of Suzuki Jimny.  Look at it, so cute and yet so rugged!  It will set you back around BND24K++ for a manual and BND28K++ for an auto.  If you want two tone colors then there is an additional BND$500.00.  It is an all rounder off roader with body on frame. I sat on the driver's seat and for those of you over 6 feet tall, you can forget about buying this car...LOL!   I am pretty sure this model will be a big hit especially for the off-road enthusiast.

New Car In Brunei - Honda Civic Type-R (FK8)

This is a grey-import if you must ask.  Nope this is not officially imported by local Honda agent.  I was told this car you are looking at cost a whooping BND$90K.  This of course needs to be confirm by the seller but I am not surprise if they are asking for that price.

So would you spend $90k on a Honda or would you buy instead spend it on lets say a Ford Mustang Turbo, VW Golf R or AMG A45?  All of these are within the same price of this Honda....

New Car In Brunei - Genesis G70

Wow!  I did not see this coming!  A Genesis in Brunei!  Those who are not familiar, Genesis is the luxury branch of Hyundai.  Just like Lexus to Toyota.  This brand has been around in left hand market for quite sometime and finally made its way in the rhd version!

I wonder how much this model will cost in Brunei.  Quick question, would you choose to buy a luxury Korean car brand which has similar pricing on both Japanese and German luxuries brand?
