Here is one bright orange Lamborghini Gallardo LP570 spotted in Gadong!  One can tell the car has some visible mods.  I was told the car is fitted with IPE exhaust systems and ADV.1 wheels.

Friends Rides - Porsche Macan

Recently three of my good friends just bought a new car each.   The AMG A45 and BMW X4 had been previewed on my earlier posts.  Last week,  my third friend just pick up this new Porsche Macan in Agate grey Metallic paints.  The car is fitted with optional 19" wheels.  It also has the cool 4 points LED Porsche distinctive DRL systems.  The car damaged my friend's wallet for a cool BND$105K.  He also need to wait more then a month for it to be registered by QAF.

The very first thing my friend did when he took his car was to have his wheels and badges dipped.  It seem like PlasticDip has finally caught on our market.  I have yet to try the product.  Probably will get myself a Matt Black PlasticDip for some badges project on my Porsche Boxster S. 
 

SRT Brunei Third Meet Up

 Just met up with the SRT gang at Empire Hotel catching up with the latest flick Fast & Furious 7.   What an awesome movie it was.  Lots of HEMI going around the scene.  The movie did a good job of sending off Brian character in the very last part of the movie.  It was a sad moment and really touch a lot of Paul Walker fans including myself.  

I was surprised to see Tony Jaa cast in the movie. He could be the very first Thai to break into Hollywood film.  Tony Jaa is the Jackie Chan of Thailand.  He is good at Thai martial art and is famous of doing his own dangerous stunts.  His famous movie included Ong-Bak and also will be staring in The Raid 3! The director is worth also worth a mention here.  I bet you didn't know the director, James Wan, is from Borneo!  Yeap, he is a Malaysian and was born in Kuching, Sarawak!

Some of our SRT members couldn't make it to the show but hopefully we will have full squad in future meet-up again!

Car Spotting In Brunei - McLaren P1!

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight I bring you some exciting news!   A McLaren P1 has been spotted roaming at Jerudong Highway!  These video was captured today around 6pm.  You can listen to the cool V8 exhaust noise from this video!

  Kudos to the owner of this video(you  know who you are) who is kind enough to share with me and for you guys to enjoy!  Not sure whose car this belong to but I am sure he is a very happy man right now.  Pretty sure we will see this monster ride on our road on a regular basis.

 In case you haven't  heard of McLaren P1, here are some pictures for your perusal.  The car is a limited production hypercar from McLaren.  Only 350 units will ever be made with an asking price of cool BND$2,000,000(based on U.K price list).  It is a hybrid with combined output of well over 900hp and goes to 0-100 km/hr in 2.8 sec!!!  Top speed is electrocnically set at 349km/hr.  The car will finished a standing quarter mile in 9.8sec at speed of 245km/hr!  I just shat my pants.....

Continuation with "Car Spotting In Brunei",  I received a few photos from friends who had spotted a few ultra rare rides on our street recently.  

Firstly,  this red beast is the first generation Dodge Viper RT/10,  a very raw American muscle car from Detroit Dodge! This is the one and only RHD Viper in existence in Brunei and possible the whole of South East Asia.  If I can recall this is a converted version from LHD to RHD imported directly from New Zealand (correct me if I am wrong).  The engine is a 8.0litre V10 that cranked out 400hp with 630Nm of torque carry over from Dodge truck!  This car was spotted awaiting for grooming at IWax Gadong.

 

This is a rare car from Porsche not just any 911 but a 911 Carrera 4S!  I have never seen this actual car in real life before and seeing on thru photos was amazing!   Spotted near Gadong Central

Lastly,  the second white Mercedes-Benz AMG G63  in Brunei has been spotted at Fitness Zone in Kiulap.  This car belong to a certain local superstar.

Car Spotting In Brunei - Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nur

An ultra rare JDM monster from our neighboring country has landed in Brunei for some performance upgrade at SHH Proshop in Gadong Central.  This is the real deal, the Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec II NUR.  This is 1 of 750 units in the world! The owner is from Labuan, Sarawak who drove all the way to Brunei to have his car upgrade to more than 600hp using full HKS performance parts.  Engine management will be handle by using HKS F-Con V Pro ECU and to be tuned by Hideto from SEED Racing!  Thanks to the owner of SHH Proshop for these cool photos!  Sorry guys the car is no longer in the workshop because it is hidden for further upgrade till its tuning day!

  

The Day I Sat In A.....BMW X4 20i

My best friend just took ownership of this cool BMW mid size SUV called the X4.  I was one of the first  privilege friend to collect his car with his wife last week.  As you can see this is the smaller version of X6.  It has slopping rear roof profile to mimic a sports coupe. Normally slopping roof line means roof space will be limited but surprising the interior of X4 is spacious.  I am 183cm tall and the rear accommodate me just nicely.  I remember a few years ago I had a hard time sitting behind a X6 because my head was constantly touching the roof line.  

 Under the hood lies a 2.0litre 4 cyclinder engine that pump out 185hp with 270Nm.  0-100km/hr in 8.1sec which is not too shabby.  This is also one of the quietest engine I ever sat in a BMW. The body color is called Dark Graphite Metallic but sadly the pictures I had taken doesn't justify it.  The color really pop when viewed under the bright sun.

This is one of the nicest interior color matching for a BMW that I had ever seen.  The color is called Sparkling Brown Metallic Nevada leather and it contrast very well with the black dash.  There are currently two X4 with this colors optioned.  The remaining X4 in BMW only comes with standard Black Nevada interior.

It even has a lighter tone stitching throughout the interior and a neat touch of tubbing on the seats!

My favorite of them all is the "X" embossed into the head rest.  Nice touch by BMW

Siam Paragon Car Showcase

These photos were sent to me thru my good friend who recently visited Bangkok, Thailand.  This shopping mall is called Siam Paragon, one of the biggest mall in Asia.  The uniqueness about it is it houses a few luxury automotive marques as seen from these photos.  It was officially opened in 2005.  Hopefully I will make this a must-visit list when I travel to Bangkok.  Enjoy the photos!
