The Day I Sat In A.....BMW X4 20i

My best friend just took ownership of this cool BMW mid size SUV called the X4.  I was one of the first  privilege friend to collect his car with his wife last week.  As you can see this is the smaller version of X6.  It has slopping rear roof profile to mimic a sports coupe. Normally slopping roof line means roof space will be limited but surprising the interior of X4 is spacious.  I am 183cm tall and the rear accommodate me just nicely.  I remember a few years ago I had a hard time sitting behind a X6 because my head was constantly touching the roof line.  

 Under the hood lies a 2.0litre 4 cyclinder engine that pump out 185hp with 270Nm.  0-100km/hr in 8.1sec which is not too shabby.  This is also one of the quietest engine I ever sat in a BMW. The body color is called Dark Graphite Metallic but sadly the pictures I had taken doesn't justify it.  The color really pop when viewed under the bright sun.

This is one of the nicest interior color matching for a BMW that I had ever seen.  The color is called Sparkling Brown Metallic Nevada leather and it contrast very well with the black dash.  There are currently two X4 with this colors optioned.  The remaining X4 in BMW only comes with standard Black Nevada interior.

It even has a lighter tone stitching throughout the interior and a neat touch of tubbing on the seats!

My favorite of them all is the "X" embossed into the head rest.  Nice touch by BMW

Siam Paragon Car Showcase

These photos were sent to me thru my good friend who recently visited Bangkok, Thailand.  This shopping mall is called Siam Paragon, one of the biggest mall in Asia.  The uniqueness about it is it houses a few luxury automotive marques as seen from these photos.  It was officially opened in 2005.  Hopefully I will make this a must-visit list when I travel to Bangkok.  Enjoy the photos!

Brunei Fake Car News!

A picture of a Lamborghini Veneno sitting near some containers stating "Veneno has landed in Brunei" is confirmed to be fake!  This particular Veneno belongs to the Lamborghini Museum and was temporary on loan for a special event in Sepang, Kuala Lumpur.  Social media info circulating in Brunei is really getting out of hand.  Seriously this people really has nothing better to do but spread fake news and rumors!

In case you didn't know about this car,  there are only 4 Veneno Coupe in the whole world.  2 are located in U.S.A, 1 in Middle East and 1 in Italy.  The one in Italy belongs to Lamborghini Museum with designation called Number Zero.  It is the same car that was shown in the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.  

There is another variant called the Veneno Roadster in which 9 units were produced and were all sold out.  The price if you must ask is Bnd$5million for the coupe and Bnd$5.3million for the Roadster.  These two version of Veneno were based on the popular Lamborghini Aventador.  It was to commemorate Lamborghini 50th Anniversary!

Jeep Cherokee Has Landed In Brunei

Goooood evening readers!  Happy school holiday for those of you who are having a break from school and also for parents like me enjoying taking a break from sending and picking up our kids from the hectic traffic jam in school.

This is the latest model from Jeep, called the Cherokee that was released in the State mid last year.  These photos doesn't belong to me so I credit here in advance for whoever took these photos.  These were send to me via social media and I personally called the Jeep salesperson and asked about the price.  This ride cost BND$68,000++

The front facial is subject to personal taste.  As you know me I do like unique car so this one looks pretty look.  Just don't like the rear so much because it look so subtle.  I am not sure what engine this car is fitted so I would assume it might be the 2.4 Tigershark Multiair engine given the price set for this car.  

I will visit the showroom and take a close look when I have the time this coming week.  Hopefully GHK will bring in the Trailhawk version of Cherokee.

 

SRT Brunei Second Meet Up

Another small gathering at a friend's daughter birthday party.  This time a special ride turn-up!  The very first generation Jeep SRT (WK)!  If I am not mistaken there are no more then 6 of these in Brunei.  The owner also happen to own the second generation Jeep SRT!  Talk about loyal to branding!

SRT Brunei First Meet Up

My first meet up with fellow SRT owner's of Brunei.  These were taken 2 weeks ago at Starbuck at Beribi.  Four cars turned up including a Chrysler 300 SRT.  This is our first step to gather all SRT owner and share our passion with the brand.  Hopefully in the future we can gather more owners for a bigger event!

The Day I Sat In A.....Citroen Picasso C4

Today I finally sat in a Citroen.  I always have a soft spot for French car.  They are unique in its own way.  Anyway, as I mentioned early a few of my friends are purchasing a new car.  One of them even brought me along for new car hunting.  We came across this new car from Citroen called PICASSO C4.  It is a MVP with chassis sharing with my previous car, Peugeot 5008.

There is only one spec which is this test car shown here.  It cost about $57000++.  This model is pretty spec-up.  Comes with leather seat, tons of safety feature and my favorite would be the automatic parallel and vertical parking.  Yes I shit you not this car can park itself better that most people because we tried it and it is impressive.

The exterior looks is all up to personal taste.  It has all round LED lightning front and back.  I quite like the exterior look, its funky and yet modern at the same time.  The interior is a whole new ball game. It has two LCD.  One of them is customiseable.  The dash has minimal buttons because they are all touch sensitive or touch screen types.  

That little knob there is for you to put perfume!  Yes I am not kidding.  You can purchase the perfume from the Citroen agent

Citroen has the coolest interior design in my opinion.  If you haven't seen the rest of the models I suggest you visit their showroom.

BMW M4 Has Landed!

I feel like I am advertising for QAF products. LOL. Here is the new fully spec-up BMW M4, if you must ask the price it is most likely that you won't be able to afford it...... BND$229K!!!!
