A Visit To BMW/MINI QAF Showroom

Pop by again to QAF in Beribi but this time at BMW showroom as I need to put a booking for a services on my MINI Countryman S.   I came across these two beauties while waiting.  The SUV is the monstrous BMW X5M.  Cost a whooping BND$320K++.   Not sure is O.T.R price but given its QAF it is probably not.  The car is one beast.  Very beautiful color choices and interior trims.

When I bought the MINI for my wife she was given a choice between Countryman or 3 Series sedan.  She obviously didn't pick the 3 series but I could picture this red 3 series spec if I ever own one.  This one is fitted with M-Sports package.  I couldn't find the price stand but should be around the high north of BND$70K with M-Sports package

New Car In Brunei - Porsche 911 Carrera S (991.2)

Here is one good looking Porsche 911 (991.2) that I snapped at Porsche QAF in Beribi.  I drop by recently to check on the progress of my Porsche Boxster and saw this super awesome sinister black 911.  This is the Carrera S version as you can tell from the red caliper.  This particular example even come with Porsche Sports Exhaust system!  I wonder how it sound when started.

A quick update about my Porsche Boxster S,  as it turn out the shifting cable broke and need to be replace.  My car will need to be tuck away in QAF until the part arrive in 2 weeks.  Oh Yes! This is yet another Porsche post. LOL!

Car Spotting In Brunei - Porsche Cayenne by LUMMA

Yes, another Porsche post but this time we got a special customized ride!  This is the 2nd generation Porsche Cayenne fitted with LUMMA body aerokits.  In case you didn't know, Lumma is a performance and aero kit company from Germany that cater to all sorts of German cars.  They have many types of kits for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche and etc.

 Today, I came across this beautiful machine whilst searching for a parking spot.  Once I got my parking I quickly jumped out and took a few shots of the car before the owner return to his car.  This car is insane! Basically all body panels has something done to it.  Can you see the bonnet louvers? That is so wicked! A quick search on the web tells me that this kit is called "CLR 558 GT".  Man what a beautiful machine.  I believed this owner also owned a red Porsche Boxster S (981) that I posted last year as they both have similar license plate numbers.  Two thumbs up to u Sir!

Car Spotting In Brunei - Porsche 911 GT3-RS

Remember the guessing game a few posts earlier?  Yes those are the latest track weapon from Porsche.   It is indeed the 911 GT3-RS on the trailer.  You are seeing not one but three units that has reached at our shore.  This is the first unit that is going thru the JPD for PDI.  I was told additional 3 more units will be coming in the future bringing a total of 6 units!!! Holy moly,   I am quite surprise they brought it so many given only 1 unit of GT3 exist in Brunei.  Can't wait to see this beast on road!

Here is one fine looking convertible spotted and shared to us by #axtelwong.  I am not sure how many units of SLS Convertible in Brunei but it seem like this is the one and only! This one belong the member of the Royal Family!

New Car In Brunei - Porsche 718 Cayman and Cayman S

Here it is people the latest 718 Cayman in both non S and S models.  The grey is the normal Cayman whereas the red is the S model.  To be honest, this latest 718 Cayman looks so freaking awesome especially in red.  Love the new "turbo" wheels design by Porsche.  Very very good looking car as compare to previous generation Cayman.  I think this time Cayman won the best looking round over Boxster.

Car Spotting In Brunei - GODZILLA!

These are 2 classic photos from SHH Workshop.  While looking at these pictures sure bring back lots of nostalgic moment back at old SHH Proshop workshop. The owner coincidentally lived at the same suburb as me during that time.  And yes he is also a friend of mine.  I can't believe it has been more then 10 years.  

This is the first and only Nissan Skyline BNR34 GT-R aka GODZILLA to had landed at our Kingdom! The car is not official Nissan import but thru grey import.  This picture here is when the car is at it's top prime.  This car is a drag racing focus machine with almost 800~900hp on tap!  Owner also fitted it with the first HKS Sequential gearbox in Brunei which you know has since changed hand to my friend Nissan Silvia S15. 

The aerokit you are looking at is from performance design house, VEILSIDE.  The kit model is called VS-GT and it is original from front to the rear carbon fiber spoiler.  Not sure you millennial had heard of Veilside or not.  They are the top company during the early and late 90s.  You may have seen their orange wide body Veilside RX-7 FD in "Fast and Furious:Tokyo Drift" driven by Han! They have build many crazy top speed cars.  This particular GT-R has since changed to grey color and the front Veilside bumper kit is now fitted on to my friend brothers Nissan STAGEA Autech 260RS.  And yes it is also the one and only 260RS in Brunei.

Porsche Boxster S Gear Shifting Problem!!!

Well, I was half way in my beautiful shower and my wife called me and told me the Boxster is stucked in reverse gear!  I was a bit puzzle when she mentioned that to me.  So I quickly hop out of the shower and zoom straight Sg.Akar roundabout where she is stranded.  Thank god it was just a few minutes from our home.

When I check on the car I realised the gear is indeed stucked in reverse gear.  She told me the gear shift suddenly became "loose" when she was shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear.  So she stop at the roundabout and try to shift to 1st gear which incidentally shifted to reverse gear. 

I called "Porsche Assistance" which then connected me to Porsche Malaysia.  (Yes!  Porsche Malaysia LOL) I explained to the assistance over the phone about the stucked reverse gear.  I was then told to wait for a return call and so we wait around 10mins.  She told us since our car is no longer under warranty then there won't be any free towing.  I was like WTF? come on, my insurance already covered free towing.  I don't care about the free towing.  I just want to know is it safe to tow the car in reverse gear!!!  Apparently the assistance is no help but thank goodness I called up QAF Porsche Service Advisor, Ira, and she contacted her supervisor and advised me what to do during the towing.

What a night!  We waited for the tow truck to arrive and now my lil Boxster is resting at QAF Eurokar Porsche.  Tomorrow I will be going to the showroom and have a chit chat to see what the heck is going on.  Hopefully is nothing major.
